Kathy Wilson had a lived experience of bed-based services in the public acute mental health system and long term engagement with private community-based support as part of her recovery journey.

Professionally, Kathy has worked as a CEO in the primary health sector and is a currently a management consultant. She has also held a range of board roles including as Committee of Management member of VMIAC (2019-2021 and 2024) and currently as the Chair of the Barwon South West Interim Regional Body.

Kathy is committed to making a positive contribution to broad-based system transformation, transformation that means the experience of and outcomes for consumers are different and better. She understands that strengthening and promoting consumer perspective-based leadership and co-contribution is one key to that change. Kathy has a deep and broad knowledge of the mental health reform agenda in Victoria.
