Amanda Wheeler

Amanda Wheeler is Professor of Mental Health and Deputy Head of School (Research) at Griffith University, Honorary Professor at the University of Auckland, Honorary Visiting Fellow at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (Sri Lanka), and a registered pharmacist. She leads research engagement for the Griffith Centre for Mental Health and co-leads the Changing HEalth SystemS (CHESS) research group at Griffith. She provides health promotion and education for health practitioners, students, and community groups to improve understanding of mental illness, associated stigma, and the physical health comorbidities and life expectancy concerns. She is an Ambassador for Equally Well Australia.
