Philip Chabrel

Office of the Commissioner for Mental Health of South Australia

Philip Chabrel is a lived-experience and governance leader in mental health and community wellbeing. Currently with the Office of the Mental Health Commissioner for South Australia, Philip leads engagement, participation, and social-change initiatives including the Tall Trees anti-stigma project. Philip’s career spans senior roles across psychosocial, crisis support and suicide prevention services, and award-winning lived experience service design. A previous LELAN Board Member and Treasurer and AICD member, Philip combines strategic, evidence-based lived experience leadership with authentic collaboration. Philip’s work has impacted communities in metro, regional and remote SA and Western NSW, and professional a continuing volunteering role nationally with Lifeline.
