Selection

The bursaries are funded by a limited budget provided by sponsorship.  We always get more requests for financial support to participate than our funds allow.  As a result, bursaries will be awarded on a first in basis of those who fulfil the criteria and agree to the terms and conditions.

What does a bursary cover?

We are thrilled to provide these generous sponsored bursaries which cover travel, accommodation and meals.

Travel – Within Australia ie: the cost of your flight, bus, train or share service fare. Where possible, bookings will reflect your preferences, however, due to availability and costs, this will not always be possible. Your preferences should ensure you are able to attend the full program.

Accommodation – a maximum of 2 nights.

Meals – most will be provided at the accommodation and conference. Any meals not included will be reimbursed in according to the Charles Sturt University policy.

Transfers – a maximum of 4 transfers (to and from the airport) will be reimbursed. Please note, organisers are unable to provide taxi vouchers or prepayment for transfers. Ground transport (including transfers) will be reimbursed with receipts up to a maximum amount of $200.00 (unless discussed and approved). Reimbursements will be paid after the event, once you submit tax receipts (EFTPOS receipts are not acceptable) and provide your bank details. No payments will be made directly to a bursary recipient prior to the conference.

Please click here to submit your receipts no later than Friday, 5th December 2025.  The reimbursement will be facilitated by Charles Sturt University Finance Department into your nominated bank via bank transfer and may take 14 days to process.

Bursaries do not cover personal expenses such as photocopying, IT, mini bar etc.
