Jacqueline Gibson

Mental Health and Wellbeing Commission

Jacqueline Gibson does not speak in abstractions. Her authority stems from her lived experience as a carer, a witness, and a quiet force in the margins of the mental health system. Now, as a Lived Experience Commissioner, Carer, she brings that clarity to a statutory role within Victoria’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Commission. She listens to families, carers, and communities because she knows reform begins with recognition. Her work is not performative; it is deliberate, inclusive, and grounded in the belief that those who live the system must shape it.
