Donni is a Senior Community Nutritionist at Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services and a PhD student at The University of Queensland. Her research focuses on improving food use skills and nutrition in people living with severe mental illness (SMI) to address physical health inequities. Donni has contributed to Queensland legislation that strengthens access to healthy food for adults with SMI in residential care and leads initiatives that build practical food skills for young people experiencing mental illness in alternative education settings. Her work integrates research, policy, and clinical practice to improve physical health outcomes and promote equitable care.
