Dr Ama Gyamfua Ampofo is a Senior Research Officer at the University of Newcastle, with a background in nursing, public health, and behavioural science. Her research focuses on improving health equity through prevention, health education, and interventions that support people experiencing health inequalities, including those living with mental health conditions. She has extensive experience in developing and evaluating evidence-based interventions, particularly in chronic disease prevention and community health settings. Ama combines her clinical nursing expertise with implementation science approaches to improve healthcare access, quality, and outcomes for underserved populations.
