Chiara is an exercise physiologist and a third year PhD candidate with the Nutrition, Exercise and Social Equity (NExuS) research group. Her work sits at the intersection of physical activity, mental health, and social inequity, with a focus on designing and implementing physical activity interventions for communities experiencing disadvantage. She works as Project Manager for the no Body left behind project with Mindgardens Neuroscience Network, co-designing and trialling an Integrated Peer-Supported Physical Health Service for people living with severe mental illness. Chiara was ESSA’s 2024 Practicum Supervisor of the Year and co-founded the Allied Health Special Interest Group in 2021.
